山口 （Yamaguchi）/ 山口 (Yamaguchi)
Very beautiful “五重塔 （Goju-no-Tou）” is in “香山公園 （Kosan Park）”.
Kosan Park is selected Best 100 historical scenery in Japan. And it is also famous as the place people discuss for “倒幕（Tobaku）” which is the position to overthrow the “徳川幕府 （Tokugawabakufu）”. Yamaguchi is the famous as the place generate a lot of great man who create the new area in 1860s and have produced a lot of prime minister of Japan.
“雪舟 （Sesshu）” who was a Japanese artist borne in 1420 and was famous as the first Japanese man describe in the stamp of foreign country spent his declining years near Kosan Park.
Xavier memorial Cathedral is on the hill of central Yamaguchi area. You can hear the beautiful sound of the bell with beautiful city scenery.
I was surprised that the access to the central Yamaguchi area is really inconvenient. But it is also pleasure of trip. Beautiful sight seeing cannot obtain without effort.
