玉泉院丸庭園(Gyokusen’inmaru Garden)/ 金沢 (Kanazawa)
Gyokusen’inmaru Garden exsited in Kanazawa Castle’s Gyokusen’inmaru from 1634, when Toshitsune Maeda, the third lord of the Kaga Domain, had it constructed, until the abolition of the feudal system, and it was continually landscaped by the successive lords of the domain, such as the fifth load Tsunanori and the thirteen load Nariyasu.
It is thought that the garden served primary as a courtyard for the domain load, rather than being used for entertaining guests.
This garden for the feudal lords featured a large pond in the center, and path around and through it for stone wall was as much as 22 meters. This is thought to have been a unique garden, and the first of its kind to use creatively patterned stone walls such as the Shikishi Tanzaku-Zumi Stone wall along with waterfall.
After sunset, the garden will be light up until 9:00pm.
You can enjoy lightening show with BGM.
It is really beautiful.
During 7 minutes of the light up show, you will forget the time being through.
