金沢和傘（Kanazawa Wagasa)
There is only one professional craftsman who produce every process for creating Kanazawa Wagasa in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa. About 30 manufacturing process to create Kanazawa Wagasa is producing by hand of Mr. Matsuda.
Kanazawa Wagasa is made of Japanese paper and bamboo. On face of Japanese paper, Kaga Yuzen technology is used. Therefore, it is really bright and shiny atmosphere as well as elegance.
Not only surface but also reverse side show sensitive structure.
The reverse side also has its original design by using Yuzen technology.
Some are gross, some are matt. Some are mono color, some are multi color. All made by hand of craftsman.
If you keep use one Kanazawa Wagasa with maintenance, you can use it almost 50 years. It will come to be the original tool only for you that make you beautiful and polite.
Even if they look the same face when Wagasa is not opened, each of them is definitely difference each other. It is not economic or logical, but beautiful. Craftsman never pursue the economy. They just keep creating. Thats it.
Do you think how many Wagasa can be produced per year? Just imagine that it will take more than 30 hours to create only one Kanazawa Wagasa.
Only one craftsman made it in this room. I think less than 100 Kanazawa Wagasa creates per year. Most of them are sold to actor and actress and not to be sold to retail store. Therefore, a lot of people want to buy it but it is very difficult to buy it. How you can buy it? Only the people who have luck. It means just by chance.
The craftsman is living along Saigawa, Kanazawa. He have been producing Kanazawa Wagasa more than 65 years.
